Camp 1469 - Registration now open! -

Calling all previous attendees AND new adventurers! Camp 1469 returns THIS THANKSGIVING, November 21st through the 25th. The overnight camp will be in Redwood Glen campsite in Loma Mar. We want you to be able to give thanks with your children and us, as we excitedly introduce an ALL-NEW feature -- Camp 1469 will not only be open to campers 7-17 years of age but parents too! If selected, 16 and 17 year old campers will have a leadership opportunity to train as Junior Counse...lors (be on the lookout for an application!). We want to offer campers a fully immersive experience with their camp sangat, and they will be discovering aspects such as (basic to advanced; varies on age) Sikh history, Gurbani, and Kirtan during classes and through Paath, which will all tied under the umbrella of our camp theme for this year. Parents, on the other hand, will find themselves in groups in which they will complete a seva project throughout the camp’s duration, attend daily divaan with the entire camp sangat and participate in the adult discussion groups. We are excited to announce the dates for Camp 1469. This unique retreat for youth of all ages runs from June 15th until June 19th, 2016. The camp focuses on seva, simran and sangat with learning time and lots of fun. Check out the trailer and stay tuned for more details.

As you all know and as it was announced at Camp yesterday that Camp Saanjh has a new fiscal sponsor. Campers/counselors and parent volunteers all participated in choosing this really new awesome name for our camp. We are now Camp 1469! This profile will be phased out over the next few months. Please look out for the new camp page (open to the public) to prepare for this transition over the next 1 year.

We are looking for local Sikh youth (ages 17 & up) to join the Junior Counselor Team! We are excited to announce that Camp Saanjh for Sikh Youth ages 7-15, will be moving to the summer this year by popular demand! Although the past 3 years of camp over the Thanksgiving holidays has been a great adventure, filled with amazing experiences for campers, many of you indicated it would be ideal for kids to attend during summer break. And we all know the weather will be better :) So we listened and are excited to announce the dates for this year ...
