We are about to embark on our annual fundraising campaign and we need volunteers! Our campaign is essential to our operation every year but this year is special and the need for our services is more dire than ever. Our goal is to raise $106,000 so that we can:... - Provide financial assistance to 80 children that need essential childcare. - Ensure that 180 children can go to camp this summer with a campership. - Assist 120 seniors, families, and adults with wellness memberships ao they can stay healthy. - Ensure access to life saving swim lessons for 60 children. We are entering our 4th year of the LIVESTRONG program at the Y! We are so excited to be able to continue providing this life changing program to cancer survivors here in Camarillo. Please share with anyone that may need the program, its free!

The afterschool group leader assists the Site Supervisor in planning, organizing and implementation of quality childrens programs for the YMCA and directly supervises children ages 5-12 in accordance with the Mission Statement of the Channel Islands YMCA. Supervises up to 12 children, enforcing rules, which will provide a fun, safe environment for all. Plan, prepares, implements, and evaluates activities on a monthly basis. We are putting together a HOLIDAY CARD DRIVE and we need your help! We'd like to spread holiday cheer by sending holiday cards to Seniors living in assisted living homes, folks that are in the hospital for the holidays, and to seniors in our community. We're taking donations of clean blank holiday cards, envelopes, and stamps starting now through December 15th. We'll be collecting donations at our Welcome Center at the Y, 3111 Village at the Park Drive. Happy Holidays!
