Just got our first shipment of @specializedbicycles new Align II helmets, now with MIPS protection. It used to cost twice as much to get this level of protection. But these helmets are only $50. Gotta protect the noggin.

Should have seen it before! Cleaning up a drivetrain is very rewarding and it's included in all of our tune ups. (Full disclosure - that's a new chain)

With bikes so hard to come by in the Bay Area, this customer found a really nice single-speed conversion in another state. It was in for a flat fix, but we noticed the innovative way the previous owner resolved their axle spacing issue. Check out the hardware store washers on the left side of the hub! Not cool. We got it sorted with new spacers and a re-dish of the wheel. And the bike was ready in a couple of hours.

We had some time on our hands this morning (the air isn't super great for riding right now). But we found this awesome rim our back-stock, so we made a really nice wheel. Stay safe everyone.

We still have really fast turnaround times on most repairs, usually 1-2 days. This Jamis Coda was dropped off in the afternoon for a tune up, and it was completed by 11 AM the following day. We have mechanics on duty from 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday and, as always, our repair assessments are free.

Happy Holidays everyone! The Caltrain Bike Station will be closed from Dec. 24 until Jan. 1. We will be open on Jan. 2, 2019 for our regular hours. If you're riding your bike to Caltrain during that time here are a few alternatives for taking care of your bike:... Take it with you! Caltrain trains are significantly less occupied during this period, space for bikes on the train is much more available. Make sure you bring the locks, etc. you'll to secure your bike at your destination.
