Pulled this from a well the other day, you don’t see many of these anymore. This is a 1 piece - 2 jet assembly and foot valve. Probably 50 - 60 years old and 30 pounds of brass!

Flash back to almost 12 years ago when we installed a 28 solar panel system with the largest DC powered submersible well pump in North America. The pump did 50 gallons per minute at 200 feet. This was one of many jobs for our first customer. She was willing to install this system, as it was the first. We have been installing systems like this ever since.

I am volunteering with Project Restoration of Lake County which is a non-profit organization partnering with St.Helena hospital to help hundreds of homeless get back on their feet. The current facility is located on Main Street in Lower Lake. The program is new so we need: volunteers, hospital beds, food, new clothing as well as someone who can cut the hair of five residents immediately. Now that rays market is closed it looks like the homeless camp behind rays have grown. Any teenagers out there who needs service hours & want to volunteer please let me know. I am planning a trip out there to give out food & essentials( toiletries, socks, blankets ect) . I know the camp areas pretty well as well as know many of the homeless so If anyone is afraid to volunteer please don't worry. This would also be a good senior project for any seniors out there looking for a project. I can be your mentor. NCO & Redwood empire food bank will be at Middletown Methodist church from 1:30 to 3:30 handing out food. Address is 15833 Armstrong st. I will be there volunteering so if anyone who can't make it I can pick up food for you. My mind has been going non stop since I visited the Hvl camp ground yesterday trying to figure out a place for all the evacuees to go. I know some people who have properties with well & electricity but no septic. I'm wondering if FEMA willing to put a septic in on these properties so people can move there until they find housing or until they build their homes. Since I took yesterday off to volunteer I can't go by the FEMA site to ask. Is there anyone out there who are going ...to their site today? If so can someone find out if this is an option? I know there are 2 sites 1 in Middletown community center & the other one in Clearlake by Safeway where Apria health care used to be. Also call mike Thompson at his office at 2269898. Their insurance won't cover their spoiled food to not having a paycheck ( missing work due to evacuation) to having out of pocket unexpected expenses. Here are some tips to help you get back in water. 1) clear area around well & water system, clear debris(especially nails) - try not to disturb the well head as some pumps are hanging by the wire. 2) expose undamaged water pipe underground so we can re-connect new plumbing. 3) expose undamaged conduit underground so we can re-connect new conduit & wire. 4) make sure insurance company gives you the go ahead to start the process. An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan". All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive... an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all). After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. It could not be any simpler than that. Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2012 elections. These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment: 1.
