Pacific Gas and Electric has filed for bankruptcy to protect itself from billions of dollars in claims that resulted from the deadly wildfires their equipment caused. PG&E Electricity rates could see double-digit increases in the coming years, and SCE and SDGE will follow. It's time for Californians to rethink the way that families power their homes.
