As some of you may know, Snowball has a growth on his left ear. Given Snowball’s coat color and how aggressively the growth is increasing in size, our vet suspe...cts that it’s skin cancer. The growth will be biopsied and surgically removed next week, however his ear might need to be amputated depending on the vet’s findings. If you’d like to help financially support Snowball, please consider donating to our Cal Poly Giving, which is linked below: https://securelb.imodules.com/s/699/bp19/interior.aspx #rescuekitty #sanctuarycat #vetmed #supportanimalrescue

Today one of our members went in and ate at Brooks Burgers Pismo with his family. After ordering there food, one of the workers approached him and ask if he wa...s a Veteran. He said yes. The restaurant refunded him 30% of his entire order. The employee stated that all Military Heroes receive 30% off at their restaurant. This is one of the largest discount we have heard of for our Military Heroes at a restaurant. We want to thank Brooks Burgers for supporting our Military Heroes! We ask our followers to support this amazing business! See more

Cal Poly has a meal share program that aims to ensure all students have access to nutritious meals every day. Part of the university’s Basic Needs Initiative, ...the Mustang Meal Share program gives all students with a meal plan the opportunity to donate up to $195 per academic year to help fellow students who are struggling with food insecurity. A study by the CSU Chancellor’s Office found that 24 percent of all CSU students struggle to find nutritious meals each day. And recent research indicates those percentages have increased since the pandemic started. This is one way to support our Mustang family and ensure that everyone has access to healthy food that will sustain students and promote success. This program is self-sustaining, and provides an easy way for students struggling with food insecurity to receive the support they need while remaining anonymous to the campus community. All unused plan credits will be rolled over to provide continued support to students on campus. The Mustang Meal Share program is part of Cal Poly’s Basic Needs Initiative, which is a commitment to ensuring student needs including finances, mental well-being, and access to food and housing do not become obstacles to success.

With this being the first of the month, please note that you may experience longer than expected wait times when trying to contact VA’s Education Call Center. W...e receive a high volume of calls during the first week of each month. The average wait time can be a few minutes up to an hour. The majority of calls we receive are for payment related issues. Please remember that your GI Bill Housing Allowance may be deposited anytime during the first week of the month. VA works claims in the order they are received. Our goal is complete original claims in 28 days from date we receive your application, unless additional information is required. Our goal to complete supplemental claims is 14 days from date of receipt of your enrollment certification from your school. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any delays or inconvenience this may cause.
