Hello all! Our November Employee Spotlight is Destinie. Destinie is our Lead Billing Specialist. She has been with CAPSS for exactly 10 years and 10 months. Let’s get to know her! Q: If you could pick one theme for CAPSS to turn into a book about the practice, what would it be? ... A: I’m dreaming of a Painless Christmas. Q: What have you gained from working at CAPSS? A: There are a few things I gain like a more extensive knowledge of billing. Comprehending what is a deductible, maximum out-of-pocket, or how to get insurance to pay a bill like sending an appeal. But another thing I gained is an extension to my family. I not only gain knowledge in billing but also a second family. I couldn’t ask for a better work-family. I'm so thankful for the doctors, managers, and staff. It is a pleasure to work with them and make good memories. While sharing and gaining knowledge about medical billing, clinical aspects, and support each other. And I can’t forget POTLUCKS that’s just a wonderful bonus. Q: Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work? A: Definitely, my first year here. I had to make a call to a worker’s compensation adjuster. He told me his name was Jose And I asked if that with an H... I SAID AN H! Not only did a recognize what I said (as he said no with a J) but so did my coworker sitting next to me. I’m so glad there is a mute button on the phone because we both were laughing. OMG, how embarrassing. Q: What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery? A: I will buy a lot of land in Cambria California then build homes for my closest friends and family to live near the beach with me. Q: What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful city of Fresno? A: I like taking my dog to Kearney Park. It’s a BEAUTIFUL park to walk around and not too many people go to it.
