Fun little #ThrowbackThursday! Who remembers these retro SoCal clubs? The Norwalk Knights played out of the old Norwalk rink that used to be off of Shoemaker.... The Huntington Beach Sun Devils were out of the old Side by Side rink in HB (2 playing surfaces, 1 ice, 1 roller). Lots of talented players came out of these clubs back in the day. Ask your coaches which clubs they played for, you might be surprised! #californiayouthhockey #retro #throwbackhockey

Mark Messier proudly wearing the helmet of fallen firefighter, Raymond Downey. Our thoughts are with all those who lost their lives and loved ones on 9/11. We also cannot forget the countless first responders who answered the call that day. Some of these brave men & women died while saving lives and others are still experiencing complications today, both physically and mentally. In 2020 we are now at a point where all of our youth players are too young to have memories of t...his day in 2001. That morning was scary and surreal (to say the least). Lots of tears, hard conversations and endless hours of flipping between news stations on the TV & radio. But one positive memory is of how much people came together. Communities showed up for one another and people checked on their neighbors. We called relatives and old friends. We scrambled to donate our time, money and blood, anything we could do to help. People wanted to help one another and it was beautiful. When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping,’ -Fred Rogers
