Dr. Stolar during his trip to Guatemala with HELPS International where he performed dozens of surgeries on men, women and children

Dr. Stolar is the pediatric surgery consultant to the World Telehealth Initiative (www.WTHI.org) and director of the pediatric surgery telemedicine clinic in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. In this capacity he provides regular clinical and intraoperative telemedicine assistance to on-site pediatricians and surgeons for children who are largely Rohynga refugees from Myanmar. The WTHI is a non-profit/NGO affiliated with InTouch Health. The activity is being expanded to Malawi, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Argentina. The work was recently presented at the 2019 annual InTouch Telemedicine symposium.

Dr. Stolar is the first pediatric surgeon to work with HELPS- International (https://www.helpsintl.org/), a 20 y/o organization working to develop sustainable improvements to health in Guatemala. He is directly involved with annual mission in Guatemala to deliver pediatric surgery care to some of the most remote, resource poor, and disadvantaged children of a very challenged country. He was recognized for his service, recently, by the Guatemalan military. Let's give Dr. Stolar a round of applause for his world-wide efforts.
