JUST A DOG From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog," or "that's a lot of money for just a dog." They don't understand the distance tr...aveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure and unbridled joy. "Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of "just a dog," I will rise early, take long rides and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a dog," but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a man." So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog," just smile--because they "just don't understand." https://www.facebook.com//Along-the-Dusty/790798710949406
We are looking for a new home for this guy. My Father just passed and my Mother has Alzheimers and cannot take care of him. He is a well behaved and loving d...og, as well as, potty trained. If you would like to have a great snuggle dog or know someone that does please message me. If not if you could please just share so hopefully we can reach more people and get Bruiser a home. UPDATE: Bruiser will be going to his new home tomorrow. Thank you for everyone that shared my post.

Hi Everyone, this is Tugger, he needs a home and I am hoping you guys can help him find one. I have fostered him for about a month now and he is a really sweet ...dog. I would keep him but he is not good with livestock, he chases the horses and goats and that is just not going to work at my place. He gets along with all of my dogs, he is good with cats as long as they don't run, they can sleep with him but the minute they run he is on the chase. He is very good with people, plays fetch with a ball like a champ, is wonderful in the house, I can leave him in all day and he is fine. He is pretty athletic but not a spaz, very good on the leash, sits, shakes, all that good stuff. He is an easy keeper, doesn't need any special food, no allergies that we know of, no medical issues. He is around 3 years old and really just wants someone to love. If you can pass this around I would really appreciate it, like I said he is a really nice dog just not good around livestock. He is currently up at Kloud 9 Doggie Retreat, you can message me or call Jen at Kloud 9 at 831-484-2007 or visit her page and message her, she would be happy to let you visit. See more
PUPDATE! https://www.facebook.com/105970367759464/posts/167198958303271/ My name is Renaissance. (Reni) I used to have a job. I was the full-time support dog to... a human lady who really needed me. We went everywhere together walks, stores, even to church! She was older and she trusted me to walk slowly and never try to dart away to visit other dogs, cats or squirrels. My human spoke my language, which is sign language. Some years ago I lost my hearing. It hasn’t been a problem though, as I understand and respond to hand signals. However I don’t know the sign for sadness, which I felt when my lady passed away and I lost my home and my purpose. I hope I will be lucky enough to find that kind of right-fit home again and keep it for the rest of my life. I’m staying with a nice foster family, but what I really want is a human that I can be with all day, every day. I’m a companion dog! My ideal human works from home or is retired. While I like kids, I do startle easily because of the deafness, so probably the best fit for me is a house with only bigger humans. I do well with other animals. As mentioned, I’m very easy on a leash and calm in public. I have a mind of my own. For instance, if someone signs for me to sit, I will definitely consider it. However if I don’t want to I’ll give my head a big shake no. My foster family thinks this is funny, but I’m just letting you now I’m an independent thinker. I was named Renaissance because I’m a classical Pyr beauty. Many people only see my flowing white hair and friendly smile. I certainly attract a lot of attention from strangers with my sweet good-dogness. But that’s not nearly all there is to me - I’m extra smart. Not to brag, but I know a ton of command signs that I use to do my job as a companion very well. I’m also extra loving and bring a sense of calm and security to a household. Consider me for the job of loyal companion! I bring years of experience and will work hard and sleep hard for you. Reni www.greatpyreneesrescuesociety.org See more
