California Miramar Athletics

California Miramar traveled to Alaska with the first stop in Anchorage where they played two games. They won the first game 61-58 which is the biggest win in the school’s history,...beating the power Anchorage Alaska University. It is huge Coach Shade said ......,They are well coached and had many seniors on the team. We definitely played the best game of the year and the best game in the school’s history. We are so proud of the guys!! They worked so hard. We came into t...hat game saying we were going to give every single ounce of effort we had to get a victory here and we did what we came to do . Christian Mora and JT Thorton led in scoring ,Steve Adams, Adam Lacey ,and Ryan Herrera crashed the boards and was huge on the defense . Tommy Lagarde,may have hit one of the biggest shots in the school’s history. He hit a three-pointer with no time left on the shot clock which was the game sealing shot.CMU lost the 2nd game . Coach took the team to the North Pole where the players had an amazing time played in the snow snowball fights took pictures with Santa. Some of the players said they would’ve never gone to Alaska in their life and they appreciated this trip so much and thank Coach shade for the opportunity to play and be able to travel all across the United States . Today California Mira Mar baseball won its second game in the second round of the playoffs they play tomorrow morning at 9 AM for the championship if they win the game they go to the College World Series in Kansas outstanding two days of baseball by the fighting Falcons. Led by Leo Gutierrez manager Nick Wagner assistant coach, today was an exciting game beating Chico State 10 to 8 led by huge hits by robin Murray, Alex Serna, Bobby dutter .. pitchers were Jacob Perez, and Bobby dutter came in and shut down Chico states bats for 3 inngs... see you tomorrow at Jet hawk stadium in Lancaster California.. 9am!!
