Disaster are not just global or regional in size...they can also be in family or individual size. One way to protect ourselves from a family or individual size disaster is the protection from fire.

Smart911 informational video:... https://ravemobilesafety.wistia.com/medias/ii331ticos Smart911 is a FREE smartphone app that will allow us to see important life safety information YOU want to share with emergency responders. The Smart911 system is completely voluntary, and you get to choose what information you share. All the information you share with first responders is confidential and only available when you call 911 (and only available for a limited time after you call). Please consider signing up for Smart911. The information you share may save a life.

Thank you NASA Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center for having CC-CERT at NASA Safety Day. It was definitely a pleasure to talk about disaster preparedness.
*Close Before You Doze* Please watch this fire safety video and share! Have working smoke detectors/alarms! ... Preplan 2 escape routes from all rooms! Have a preplanned meeting point outside! Never go back inside a burning house! Call 911! Research shows that 30 years ago, you had about 17 minutes to escape a house fire. Today it's down to three or four minutes. The reason: Newer homes and the furniture inside them actually burn faster. A lot faster!!!
CERT, as some might head out for an OHV ride keep an eye out for this pup.
