40 years ago this month Evelyn & Ernie St. Germain opened Cal Skate Milpitas. Along with their daughter Chris, and a few years later their son Trace, they began a legacy in the Bay Area and beyond. Cal Skate became a home away from home for many. The Cal Skate family grew and still lives in many of us. Thanks E & E for the many wonderful years you gave us all and the many memories we will always cherish

Danny worked at Cal Skate until we closed. Maybe you knew him. He was always so willing to help and had such a great attitude. I always expected him to succeed in life. Now he's facing the fight if his young life. Please help if you can.

Sadly we lost an amazing man who contributed so much to education and the skating industry. Mr Gatto passed away yesterday at the age of 90. Mr Gatto taught so many the love of reading and the love of skating. He even taught himself how to skate then how to be a teacher. He taught our Tiny Tot class for over 20 years and many of those Tiny Tots brought there kids to learn from him. He will be missed although I know he will live on in so many hearts. We love you Mr Gatto!!!
