I don’t comment or post on this sort of thing often, or really at all. But this is the reality of what’s going on in our industry currently. An industry I have made my whole life, my livelihood, my home away from home, my family away from family... . I have spent countless hours in the salon doing what I LOVE, I know you guys have heard me say that before, but I don’t think you understand the magnitude in which I love this career! It literally gives me life and lights me up E...VERYDAY! . It was ripped from me for 3 months, and when I got to return I was beyond excited, happy, and alive again! I was literally begging to work more days more hours just to serve my guests! . Then boom, ripped away again without warning, total blindside. We knew restaurants and bars were going to shutdown, but there was no mention of salons at any point. . As a hairstylist I am given a state issued license where I have to learn, and demonstrate safety and sanitation protocols everyday in order to operate. And if I don’t I will have to pay hefty fines or have my license taken away. The fact that this has been completely ignored is beyond me, shame on @cabarbercosmo for turning your backs on us. Shame on you for not sticking up for your own, and going to battle to show @gavinnewsom we are a safer space and place then Target, Costco, and Wal-Mart. Where sanitation has always been a part of our daily tasks and schedules. . And now you want us to work outside in a dirty parking lot where sanitation would be impossible to keep up! @cabarbercosmo how can you tell us this is the best you can do? You, better than anyone know our salons are safer, we are safer inside!
