Business Not as Usual We are heartbroken by the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and so many other lives. In the near future you'll see us addressing issues at the heart of what causes terrible acts such as these. This is not business as usual and we stand in solidarity with our community as we commit to taking action. We plan to contribute by educating the public about issues and behaviors that easily lead to negative results and can escala...te to terrible consequences. We’ve stopped to reflect on the unprecedented crisis that has crippled our country and then the spark of violence that overshadowed what previously seemed like the worse emergency our country had faced. We look to take action, by spreading education in topics such as abusive conduct prevention, harassment prevention, and how to interact and collaborate with our peers in stressful times. We look to fight discrimination, starting in the work place, by enlightening those that may not have perceived it and empowering those that feel powerless or threatened. Work environments depend completely on the quality of relationships between coworkers and anything that degrades that should be stopped before it spreads. We’ve supported organizations that target to abolish discrimination, such as the NAACP, The Movement for Black Lives, and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. This is just the beginning. As we plan our next steps, we want to be clear that the violence that has taken so many lives during a time of already catastrophic events is not only unacceptable, but will not be tolerated. Today’s current events carry into the work place and people’s attitudes or what is perceived to be acceptable in the media can easily disrupt a harmonious environment at work. We believe we can use the transformational power of effective communication and education to help stand against discrimination, and injustice today, tomorrow and forever. Together we can make a difference, lets start in our work places and demonstrate that together change is possible. This is not a political message nor a negative outlook, instead it is an act of HUMANITY!
