The Camp Roberts Historical Museum is re-opening its doors on Halloween day after shutting down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you're on Camp Bob on Halloween, be sure to check out the museum. Don't forget to wear a mask. The museum will be open Thursdays and Saturdays from 9a.m. to 4 p.m.

Remembering our Fallen: Sixteen years ago (November 10, 2004) the California Army National Guard's Sergeant First Class Michael Ottolini died as a result of wounds received during an improvised explosive device attack while serving with his unit in Baghdad, Iraq. He was assigned to the 579th Engineer Battalion. Please take time today to remember Sergeant First Class Ottolini and to keep his family, friends and all those affected by his loss in your thoughts and prayers as we honor the lives of our Fallen Comrades.

Cal Guard brigades are getting their lineups ready for the California Best Warrior Competition scheduled January 2021 at Camp San Luis Obispo. The 224th Sustainment Brigade determined their representatives in a contest at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas and the National Guard armory in Azusa, Oct. 15-17, 2020. Congrats to Staff Sgt. Luis Viscarra, unit marksmanship trainer with the 1114th Transportation Company (TC), located in Bakersfield, and Spc. Uriel Deniz, a motor transport operator with the 756th TC Detachment (Det.), located in Moreno Valley, for winning the 224th Sustainment Brigade Best Warrior Competition.
