**2021 Ag Leadership World Ag Expo Breakfast goes Virtual** Ross Bernstein, our 2020 keynote speaker, will be returning and this time he will be presenting his popular program Wearing the C: Leadership Lessons from the Greatest Captains and Coaches in Sports. Last year, Ross spent a day interviewing several of our members and shared what he learned during his keynote. This year, because of the uniqueness of the situation with Covid-19, Ross is going to come out early, re...-interview those same folks and some new ones, to highlight how they pivoted, adapted, and survived 2020. It’s going to be a very customized, relevant presentation, just for our group, and you’re not going to want to miss it. See you on Zoom, February 11 at 7:30 AM (PST)! REGISTRATION: The event is FREE to attend. Link in comments to register. Encourage your friends and employees to join us online. This will be a fun and informative event! SUPPORT: We need your help supporting Ag Leadership. Your $500 Event Sponsorship includes a special gift and recognition. If you've sponsored a table before, please consider sponsoring our virtual event. Link in comments to contribute.

Last week's episode of "The Amazing Race" was filmed in Manaus, Brazil, which is where Class 43 fellows began their amazing international travel seminar seven years ago this week! Manaus is located in the center of the rainforest, at the confluence of the Amazon River and Rio Negro. Check out the episode and look back at the winter 2013 issue of Horizons magazine, which features an article and photos from Class 43's trip. >HORIZONS: https://issuu.com//docs/cal-cl-4185-winter-2013-screenprint >EPISODE: https://www.cbs.com//the-amazing-race-we-re-makin-big-mov/

In Memory of Grace Flannery Today we learned of the sudden passing of Grace Flannery, a long-time friend and contributor to our program. We join our alumni and fellows, as well as the many people Grace influenced and inspired in her career and life, in expressing our sadness and condolences to her spouse, Glenda Humiston (25), as well as her family and friends. Grace began her work with the Ag Leadership Program in 2008, meeting with Class 38. She eventually became one of th...e program’s integrating presenters, meeting with classes several times over the 17-month fellowshipstarting with the inaugural seminar and finishing up at the seminar right before commencement. One of the most impactful of her sessions was Stages of Personal Power. Her trademark was putting all the chairs in a circle to get people to see one another. She challenged us all to look inside and treat ourselves and each other with compassionate honesty. Grace will be greatly missed by those of us at the foundation and the fellows who were fortunate enough to learn from her. We will share information about a virtual memorial in honor of Grace as soon as details are available.

#TBT More cowbell! It’s customary for the commencing year 2 class to pass a momento down to the year 1 class. Class 44 began the tradition of handing down a cowbell with an inscription of a phrase that resonated with their class. Every class after has continued the practice. Does your class have a motto or catchphrase? Share in the comments! by: Vannesa Wright Photography
