Transferring a 2 ton robot from a centralized station to a remote track by first rotating the holding station up to 360 degrees and lining up with a track introduces a number of technical challenges. Unless guides and drive racks are aligned exactly, making the transfer would be... difficult if not impossible without damaging the system. Lucas Robotics France needed a Heavy Duty routing system comprising a centralized length of track 2m long where robots are positioned prior to being transferred. Watch how the HepcoMotion HDS2 does just that. #MotionMonday #MakingCA #Robotics #7thAxis http://ow.ly/nLWf50Dxk3k You can also read more about the application on the BWC website: http://ow.ly/WThu50Dxk3i

Did you know one of Bishop-Wisecarvers custom solution offerings is 7th-Axis and Robot Transfer Solutions? Robot positioning systems (7th axis or Robot Transfer Units) provide flexibility in manufacturing and industrial spaces. For example, they may allow one robot to reposition between work stations to do the work of several robots. They may also extend a robot’s working area without need for a larger arm. Sometimes, the transfer of units away from the operating zone permits safe movement of workers or large equipment. Visit our website to read more. http://ow.ly/Zdvw50DsOx7
