City of Burbank Councilmembers proudly stand by the Burbank Channel Bikeway Project Dedication Plaque. In October of last year, the Burbank Channel Bikeway Pro...ject broke ground on a three quarter -mile off-street bike and pedestrian path located directly adjacent to the Burbank Western Channel. The portion of the project will connect the Burbank Channel Bikeway to the Downtown Burbank Metrolink Station creating a seamless connection for bikers and commuters. When the entire project is complete, this portion of the Bikeway will connect with the regional bike path starting at Chatsworth and eventually ending 50 miles away at Long Beach.

Though we may not be able to gather together this year at our annual Veterans Day Ceremony, we are still continuing the tradition of the Condor Squadron Flyover. On Veterans Day, November 11th at 11:00 AM, watch the squadron above the skies of Burbank over the McCambridge Park War Memorial. Let us all pay tribute to the service of the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces.

Brand new fitness equipment at Ralph Foy Park! Thanks to voter-approved Measure P, we have been able to improve Burbank’s parks. Designed for a variety of fitness levels, this structure allows for a whole body workout. As a friendly reminder - follow all health and safety guidelines while at fitness areas: limit your time during your visit, wear a face covering at all times, bring hand sanitizer, avoid crowds, and stay 6’ apart from others.

Tomorrow’s the big day!!! Starting at 9:00 AM, thirteen scarecrows will be out at our parks...can you spot them? Reminder, all scarecrow seekers under age 17 are welcome to pick up a treat bag at the drive-thru redemption site: Josyln Adult Center (entrance on Griffith Park Drive) by 12:30 pm - game card can be complete or not.
