#Repost @thunderpress ’ Get an inside look at the trials and tribulations of running a motorcycle shop from Jerry Turner, former owner of the Burbank Moto shop. In 2012 and frustrated by poor customer service, Jerry Turner opened up Burbank Moto to serve customers the way he wanted to be treated. The opening of the shop heralded in a new era, but the same obstacles many business owners face in the industry kept popping up. ... Don't miss this behind-the-scenes tale! When I was running my shop, my contention was that politics were bad for business, so I never posted a personal thought concerning a left or right point of view. Motorcycles are enjoyed by both sides, and that’s the way I like it. I have family, friends and customers that represent each train of thought and that’s what makes this country so great. We’re all in this together, and together is what the idea of this country’s brilliant founders intended. I’d like to share a story... that I feel best exemplifies the spirit of the people of this nation. About 7 years ago, I was stopped at a red light, at the front of an intersection when I witnessed a motorcyclist get hit by someone in a car making an illegal turn. The biker was thrown from his cycle and landed a few feet from a bus stop. Immediately, everyone who witnessed the accident, whether pedestrians or those in their vehicles, rushed to the man’s aid. Although the cyclist was big, greasy, long haired and tattooed, no one seemed to care. The only concern anyone had for was his well being. A black man waiting for a bus was the first to approach, followed by a Latin woman, followed by an elderly Asian man. A man wearing a turban was the first to use a cellphone to call for help. A young blonde woman and her brunette friend used their jackets to comfort him and treat his wounds. Myself and another white guy tended to his motorcycle as gas was pouring from the tank, threatening a fire. When the ambulance and police arrived on scene, all witnesses stayed on site to make sure the motorcyclist was going to be okay and to make sure the authorities had their information. The driver of the car that hit the man wasn’t ridiculed or treated as a deplorable as it was obviously unintentional and the guilt and emotion he was suffering from alone, seemed unbearable. Thankfully the biker wasn’t severely hurt and as he was be loaded into the ambulance, and despite his injuries, gave all in attendance a thumbs-up. Everyone applauded him. As traumatic as the incident was, I couldn’t help but to be touched by the outpouring of compassion, empathy and sympathy shown to a fellow American...a fellow human being. #UNITEDstatesofamerica

So cool to hear from a follower that an anymore pic we posted included a realize. Specifically her grandfather, Jimmy Gibb. Jimmy raced in California (Lincoln Park) as well as in Canada and even oversees in England. During prohibition, he ran Moonshine in his saddlebags! He was also a cameraman during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Unfortunately a thief broke into his house sometime in the 70s and stole his last remaining race bike [sic]. Legend has it he had a tattoo that read, Never Gibb Up. Gotta love his spirit. Jimmy died at the ripe old age of 104. We alsways say that motorcycles will keep you young, if they don’t kill you. Thank you much @jeanabeana987 for sharing your grandfather’s story. #jimmygibb
