Arts & crafts can help our little ones learn math. See how below!
We are greatly saddened to hear that Burbank Arts for All Foundation's long-time supporter and a prolific artist, Brad Pascual, passed suddenly and unexpectedly on July 3, 2020, of an aortic dissection. He leaves behind many close family and friends who love him. Brad's children attended Jefferson Elementary School, John Muir Middle School, and Burbank High School and Brad was very supportive of our school community. To celebrate Brad's many contributions to our community, we are sharing some of the artwork Brad created for Burbank Arts for All Foundation's Secret Art Show. We thank Brad’s wife, Marti (Wuthrich) Pascual, and the rest of Brad’s family for choosing Burbank Arts for All Foundation to honor his memory.
Audiobooks or physical books? A recent article published in the Journal of Neuroscience notes there is little difference in the way the brain processes the semantics of written or spoken text. Indeed, the similarities and benefits are striking. Click on the link below to see the titles PBS recommends for your young student. #homelearningcorner

The future may be uncertain, but our children must continue to learn and thrive. According to PBS, Students in elementary schools with superior music education programs scored around 22 percent higher in English and 20 percent higher in math scores on standardized tests, regardless of socioeconomic disparities among the schools or school districts.
In five years, I see myself out of college and pursuing a career centered around ornamental horticulture or within the plant sciences. I hope to be able to integrate my art into my career in any way possible." #classof2020 http://ow.ly/WsyW50Ay0Rf
"Do what you love because it makes you feel good not because you want to win or because your parents are making you do it. #classof2020 http://ow.ly/Y5id50AvkCD
The transition from taking snaps on the football field to organizing and hosting music benefit concerts was hugely due to the generosity and investment from the many people I’ve reached out to and established permanent friendships with, especially those available and willing to support us throughout the Burbank Unified School District Arts Programs. #classof2020
The advice I would give younger students is never to dim your light to please others. Sometimes, my confidence, passion, or bubbly personality may come off as strong, but I will never dim my light." @shaylinb #classof2020 http://ow.ly/EpD450AsjcQ
