Burbank resident and parent, Angela Koritsoglou, is an English instructor dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion and closing equity gaps in education through her work with the Umoja Community, Student Equity Committee, and LGBTQIA+ Committee at Antelope Valley College. Bessie Coleman was an early American civil aviator. She was the first African-American woman and first Native-American to hold a pilot license.
