The wheels on the BIRD... Use familiar and learned songs to be silly and make mistakes on purpose! After the substituted word is used, look for your child's reaction to see if they'll "fix" the word for you. If it's not coming as naturally as you thought, you can give two choices: Is it wheels on the or ?

Just got these wonderful books!! The series is themed based on routine & gives parents all sorts of signs to show your little one! Pair the sign with the spoken word in context to give your child the words to "say"!

A pizza pan?! Yup. We've used this for sensory fun (portable and easy to clean!), to spin & roll balls (edge helps them stay in one place), fun magnets to make a story & sure, pizza too.

Between 6-9 months, a child starts to feed themselves crackers, can drink from a cup held by an adult (with some spillage) and can reach for a spoon. As your child matures, they start to refine and add new skills like eating lumpy/mashed food, bringing their spoon to their mouth and drinking through a straw. Meal time is a perfect routine to incorporate speech and language, especially since it's motivating! You can provide choices (Do you want milk or juice?, Apple or banana?), have your little one make requests ("more goldfish", "I want crackers"), talk about the sequence of events (First we have milk and a sandwich, then we have cookies) or label objects/actions (stirring, open/close, sticky, cold, etc.).

Because children are becoming more and more exposed to videos and games through hand held devices, reading tends to not be as motivating or exciting. To show our love for books, we wrote a blog post on the most effective ways to sit down and read with your little ones.
