After much deliberation, we have decided to take a short break for two weeks starting January 4th. In that time we would like our staff to recuperate and focus on themselves and loved ones. We hit the ground running from the start and have been surviving hurdle after hurdle. It’s been quite a wild ride to say the least. If I take a step back to reflect, I'm so proud and grateful to our BA staff and all of you for pushing through and being with me every step of the way. I'm sure you've heard this plenty but it never hurts to hear: thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts to each and every one of you for your warm love and support. For being there for us through thick and thin. We are looking forward to greeting you all back with even bigger, well-rested smiles. Try not to miss us too much while we take a short little break Love you all and cheers to an even brighter 2021!

To my beloved family, I’m gonna throw it way back for #TBT: Pictured here is me sitting at that communal table (a favorite of many of yours) two years ago.What you don’t see is the flurry of emotions I was feeling. I was so excited, wary, and anxious, all mixed with uncertainty and anticipation moments before our very first day of operation.... As you may have heard already, we’re turning two this weekend (Is it just me or is time flying by even faster lately?) and it has put me in a mood to reflect and reminisce. It all started with a humble dream and passion to bring unique, quality pastries and coffee to the people in our lovely community.This dream of mine was all that I had and needed to drive forward.It took three years of thought and preparation (blood, sweat, tears, you name it!) to turn my dreams into a reality, but those three years pale in comparison to these last two of operation.I don’t know where all the time went, but all I can say is that I held onto this dream like a dog with a bone! I refused to give up. It’s been a tumultuous ride to say the least. There were setbacks just moments before opening, org changes... oh, and you can’t forget: Covid happened.To be completely honest, there were moments where we could’ve given up but we pushed through.In fact, we came out even stronger, all thanks to my wonderful staff and all of you.My stellar team for the never-ending hard work and dedication in supporting my vision, and of course, each and every one of you who became my family.We’re ready to take on whatever life throws at us next! All this to say, thank you to old and new friends, for your constant support, love, and compassion.It’s quite the honor to not only be able to share my dreams with all of you, but have you actually be a part of it.Whether we experience moments of joy, success, failure, sorrow, we will never forget our core values.
