It's Regional season again for mock trial and we need your help again! This year, all judging is done via zoom from the comfort (or chaos like mine?) of your home. The Fresno State Regional is February 27-28. This year, because all the trials are on zoom, you will have the chance to see teams from all over the country. Please feel free to share or tag anyone you think would be interested. For today’s #MeetTheTeam Monday we have Lily Hammerstrom! This is Lily’s first year at Fresno State as a Smittcamp Scholar. Along with being a student Lily works at Starbucks as a barista. Her favorite memory on the Mock Trial team so far is coming up with crazy salad theories with her team! Give it up for Lily!

Good evening everyone!! It is #meettheteammonday Today we have the pleasure to meet Jennafer. Jennafer Halbrook just turned 20 in August & she’s a sophomore studying English Education. She loves to roller skate and to read. This year will be her second year in our mock trial team at Fresno State, her fifth year of mock in general. Jennafer says, Mock trial has given me a family, a community and a place for all of my accent skills. I’ll always treasure all the people I’ve met, places I’ve been and memories I’ve made. I look forward to being a captain and fostering that same love for mock trial in my team this year! We are so happy to have you on the team!! Go Dogs

Happy Monday!! For today’s #meettheteammonday we have Hisham Ayman Qutob! Hisham is a returning member of our program and currently in his senior year majoring in Business with the option of finance! Hisham has truly enjoyed the amazing bond and connection he made with his fellow bulldog mockers over the 4 years and is thankful for all the new skills it has taught him. Mock trial was the first club Hisham joined as a freshman and it opened so many opportunities for him which led him to becoming ASI(student body) President & EVP, a brother of Alpha Sigma Phi, President of Fresno States Moot Court team, and an active member in clubs/orgs such as Camp Kesem, FMA, Phi alpha Delta, sustainability club, MSA, chess club, USU board of directors and a few other organizations! We love having him apart of our #mocktrialfamily Go dogs!

Meet the Team Monday! For today’s #meettheteammonday we have Malakeh Jaber! Malakeh is a junior double majoring in Business Administration Finance and Political Science. She is in Delta Gamma Sorority, Unheard Cries, Moot Court, and also is the Senator Of Greek Affairs for ASI. Malakeh has been in on our mock trial team for 3 years but has done mock trial for a total of 6 years!! (including high school)!! Malakeh says, Mock trial has equipped me with an arsenal full of skills to help me accomplish all my goals. I’m excited for the new season and hope to grow even more and develop new skills with the new format. We are so excited to have her yet another year on our team! Go Dogs!

Good morning everyone!! Here are two events that are being co-hosted by the Department of Political Science next week! They will be on Zoom and Facebook Live (The Ethics Center FB page). Join the zoom meetings to enjoy great conversations! One of the guests speakers at this event is our very own Hisham Qutob!! It is Hisham’s 4th year on our mock trial team and we are very proud of him for being involved in many different programs at Fresno State! Go dogs!!

Happy Labor Day!! It’s time for our #meettheteammonday !! This Monday we will meet our one and onlyyyy Lauren Delaney!! Lauren is a senior majoring in political science! She’s also a member of Phi Alpha Delta and Delta Zeta sorority :) Lauren is also our very own recruitment chair for our mock trial team! This will be her second year on the team & she’s so excited to be back! She plans on going to law school and eventually going into business law. Lauren says, I’m so excited for the new members to get into court and get out of their comfort zones and for this team who always makes me strive to be better! We enjoy having her as part of our #mocktrialfamily !! Go Dogs!!

Hey everyone!! Happy Monday!! For this weeks #meettheteammonday we have our good friend Madalyn Berry!! Madalyn is a second year student at Fresno State! She is majoring in Philosophy-Pre Law with a minor in Criminology. This year will be her second year on the mock trial team. Madalyn is also in the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Madalyn says, I really enjoyed being a part of the team last year and look forward to making more memories with our mock trial family. Even though everything has to be virtual, I know this will be a great year for our team! We are so happy to have our in our #mocktrialfamily again this year! Go Dogs!

Hello Hello! For this weeks #meettheteammonday we have the pleasure of introducing to you all Haile Kasiner!! Haile is a third-year Fresno State student and is majoring in psychology and minoring in forensic behavioral science. This year will be her third year on our team serving as our Mock Trial Treasurer. She is also on the Psi Chi board acting as Vice President. Haile says, I love to double witness for my teams because as a witness I feel that I am prepared to embody any character and that’s where I do my best! I’m looking forward to this years new case and teaching our new members! We are excited to hear all the good ideas you bring to this years case Haile! #godogs !

Hey everyone!! It’s #meettheteammonday again!! Mark Abou Naoum is entering his junior year at Fresno State and his second year on the Mock Trial team. He is double majoring in History and Political science, with a focus on international relations. This year He looks forward to serve as tournament director and He is eager to see how the program will look like on a virtual platform. He has high hopes that competing will remain a unique, educational and fun experience.
