Through the creation of the Bulamu Clinical Support Team (CST) Program, Bulamu has adapted to serve the people of Uganda during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our team of licensed Ugandan medical professionals has supported hospital staff at various public hospitals and health centers throughout Uganda. In an effort to limit the spread of Coronavirus, Bulamu has strengthened preventative measures for handwashing near the entrances of numerous health centers in Wakiso to help ensure that patients wash their hands before entering the clinic. To date, Bulamu has taken a key role in Wakiso and Sheema Districts to support the prevention guidelines set by the Ministry of Health in order to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

Since its founding, Bulamu’s Mamma Kit program has provided medical resources to more than 1,700 expectant mothers. As rural health clinics often lack medical supplies and staff, women in labor must sometimes supply their own gloves and other necessities to ensure their safety. Bulamu’s Mamma Kit program provides women with the essentials to give birth safely -- even if they require a C-Section. In the past year, this program has supported 640 women and counting to give birth in safe and healthy conditions.
