We are very excited to share the results from the section speech contests today!!! These students have been practicing for weeks and competed today via zoom against students all across Orange county!! Mary Jane Castro - moving onto the region contest for the FFA Creed... Jasmine Ibarra & Jordan Scales - moving onto the region contest in Job Interview. There were multiple rounds in each contest and our kids rocked it! Go coyotes!!

Hello community members and supports! We have started a fundraising campaign with Snap Raise in the hope to fundraise for our agriculture students. Although school looks a little different this year as a department we still plan on providing students with continuing or new opportunities. These opportunities we offer every year only happen because of people like you! Check out the website below and consider supporting our Agriculture Students at Buena Park High School!
Over the past 3 days our Leadership Team developed 3 different workshops for our members. Activities that focused on Responsibility, mental health, and AET. We had an amazing turn out and 70% of our members attend an activity this week! That’s 275 students! Amazing!

Over the past three days our leadership team along with several upper classroom conducted interactive, engaging, and fun activities for our members via Zoom. We had 207 students participate! Congratulations goes out to Britney Williams who has earned her American FFA Degree! Britney graduated in 2019 and went on to create her own floral business, Britney's Floral. Because of Britney's continued efforts in her agriculture project she will be receiving her American FFA Degree in October! FFA members who qualify for the American FFA Degree: -Have received a Greenhand FFA Degree, Chapter FFA Degree and State FFA Degree. -Have been FFA members for at least three yea...rs. -Have completed at least three years (540 hours) of high school agriculture classes, or 2 years of high school agriculture classes and one year of college agriculture classes (360 hours.) -Have graduated from high school one year prior to the National FFA Convention at which their degree will be awarded. -Have maintained detailed SAE records, which demonstrate outstanding planning, managerial and financial skills. -Have earned and productively invested at least $7,500, or have earned and productively invested at least $1,500 and worked 2,250 hours beyond scheduled school hours through their SAEs. -Have a record of outstanding leadership skills. -Have a record of participating in 50 hours of approved community service activities. -Have maintained a C grade average or better. Way to go Britney!

We are so excited to welcome and introduce Lexi Fox as our student teacher from CSU Chico for the 20/21 school year! Lexi is a Chico state credential student who grew up in Vacaville, CA and then moved to Wheatland, CA for high school where she was involved in FFA all four years. She raised market lambs, held chapter office, and earned her state FFA degree. She can't wait to spend this year @ Buena Park! Go Coyotes!
