Brymer Lewis Tennis is pleased to acknowledge the valuable contribution Saachi Pavani, an up and coming young tennis player and academically gifted senior at Portola High School, is making to saving lives with her 'Stop the Bleed' training. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign that trains citizens to assist in an emergency before the professionals arrive. In addition to receiving a major award for her efforts, Saachi was prominently featured in this Orange County Register article (below). Well done Saachi, you really are an inspiration!

If you're a player or a parent seeking information on how to best prevent or treat tennis-related injuries, look no further. The Hoag Orthopedic Institute has just opened a state-of-the-art Sports Medicine Clinic at the new Hoag Health Center in Foothill Ranch. Today, I was fortunate enough to get a guided tour of this exceptional facility by the Director herself, Sevda Mikdadi. What makes the clinic so special is that everything (and I mean everything) is under one roof. ... Whether you require sports medicine (with x-ray and casting services in the suite), physical therapy, sports performance information, radiology (including MRI), urgent care, laboratory work, primary care, nutrition services, yoga, mat-based Pilates or a bio-circuit training regimen, it's all here. Further, I was also fortunate enough to meet Dr. Gabriel Carpio-Bracho, the resident Sports Medicine Physician, who provides specialized clinical services in the treatment and prevention of sports-related injuries. What makes all of this so exciting is that both Ms Mikdai and Doctor Carpio have undertaken to provide personalized care for all of the players (and their parents) in our program. And although we will soon be providing you with far more information about our involvement with Hoag, should any of you reading this require the Clinic's services, please contact us so that we can immediately take care of things for you. We, Sevda, and Dr. Carpio would love to hear from you.
