Today would have been Jackie Robinson's 100th birthday. As a Dodger fan, Robinson was one of the first historical heroes that I wanted to grow up and emulate. To me, he is still what it means to be a baseball fan and competitor. The Dodger organization lost their way several years ago, and they do not always live up to Robinson's promise (or our promise to Robinson). In 2015, I met another father named Bryan.
