Would eliminating the cap of non-economic damages in medical malpratice cases drive doctors out of California? http://www.fresnobee.com//clovis-couple-part-of-california
In 1975, California capped damages for personal injuries in medical malpractice cases at $250,000 (excluding future medical bills or wage loss). This means if an individual is paralyzed as the result of preventable medical negligence the most the person would be able to recover would be $250,000. Should this law be changed? http://www.caoc.org/index.cfm?pg=issmicra
