Thank goodness it is raining, however the burn ban remains in effect until lifted by Cal Fire. Also, please use caution on the wet and slick roadways.

Today we placed this Type III wildland fire engine in service, just in time for the on going wind event. We are staffed and ready to respond.

WT5290 has been released from the Hopkins Fire in Calpella. Engine 5285 is assisting with a fire off of Geysers Rd. north of Cloverdale. #wt5290 #eng5285 #fireseason2021

As of midnight, tonight, the burn ban will be lifted. Residents of Brooktrails, Spring Creek and Sylvandale will be required to obatain burn permits before burning. These permits can be obtained at the Brooktrails Fire Department, or online with CAL FIRE or Mendocino County Air Quality. Regardless of the permitting agency, they will expire on June 1st.... Please exercise caution while burning!
