Wildfire Update | September 8 We have been working with our asset management team to pull together a team of mitigation specialists, industrial hygienists and remediation contractors to assess the smoke damage to the building and identify the next steps. Those individuals have assessed the smoke damage and have given us a timeline (based on what we know) of approximately 5 weeks before the residents can return to Brookdale Scotts Valley. There are many steps that need to... take place before we can have residents returning to the building. The building must be completely sanitized and cleared for the residents and staff to return. We continue to keep our residents and the responsible parties informed of the progress and the timeline for return to the community.

Wildfire Update | August 24 Brookdale Scotts Valley remains in a mandatory evacuation area. In the event that an evacuation status changes in the area of a Brookdale community: Residents would remain in their temporary accommodations until officials approve the return home. Only when the area has been declared safe for return and the building assessed and cleaned, would we be able to return residents to their home community. ... When that happens, we would make that announcement here, in addition to contacting the residents that left with friends or families. Returns have not been cleared at this time.
