The term Mistella means fortified grape juice in Italian, and that’s exactly what our Miss Stella is. The juice from our Black Muscat grapes has not been fermented so it is very sweet, but has 16.5% alcohol due to the addition of a fortifying spirit. We used a hi-proof spirit that is normally around 96.5% alcohol and is distilled from wine/grapes. #brokenearthwinery #downtoearth #pasowine #fortifiedwine
