We are in the midst of a fund raising campaign to raise funding for construction of medical dental clinic and dorms for our volunteers doing medical dental ministry and construction ministry.

Hola bc4h board and special friends: Sofia (purple dress) received a donation to buy food for folks at the dump. She is also on the radio twice a week sharing t...he Good News of Jesus and healthful living. She is working with children and feeding senior citizens and giving Bible studies to 38 people a week. Oscar who donated our land is now building cabins near our property for volunteers who want to buy a cabin (see next email) After years of negotiations with Guatemala the ambulance will be ready to be driven down when the borders open. Robin and Carol, Jody and Robbie are planning a mission trip in August. Next March Mark Juarez is planning a construction trip. The medical/dental team is gearing up for a trip in March. However, this is all contingent on the border opening. This year we did not have a camp meeting fundraising booth so we sent over 200 post cards asking for donations. I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger and you took me in: naked and you clothed me: I was sick and you visited me: I was in prison and you came unto me. Hello friends of Broken Chains for Humanity So how are you and your family doing. Marilyn and I are doing great. A little bored but doing just fine. Finally, I have time to pull weeds in my back yard. Marilyn and I have time to clean out the garage. and we have time to do our taxes. You know, all the fun things we have been wanting to do but never had enough time to do it. Let the fun times begin! As many of you know we canceled our March 18-31 mission trip. It was very sad. ...This was going to be the trip of all trips. We had many volunteers sign up for this trip. Thanks to the Corona virus it never happened. But wait there's more. Guatemala cancelled all flights coming from America on March 14. But by this time we already had five volunteers in Guatemala. They were determined to carry on the good work in Colis even though it wasn't a regular Broken Chains trip. The volunteers were Robin and Carol Miller, Lourdes Monez, and Clark and Elizabeth Cowan. I had the privilege of communicating with them over the two weeks. I will let our heroic volunteers share with you their amazing story of unselfish service and miracles. They did everything we do on trips only on a smaller scale. They worked on the property. and they went to Jalapa and passed out food at the dump. They held a clinic for 140 people in four days. They made sure that only five people came in at a time. They held fluoride treatments for the kids, and the list goes on and on. As I mentioned this is their story to tell. They will share it with you when they return. Yes, when they return. They are still in Guatemala and by God's grace will return home in just a few days. Please pray that they will have a safe trip home and that all will go well. They have been working very hard and deserve a good rest where they will once again see their family, friends, and pets. May God bless you, your family, and friends as we all sit out this awful pandemic. Let us determine to keep our courage and trust in God and His promises. He will see us through! Ron

Hola Broken Chains Board and friends We canceled our mission trip this year starting March 18. It was very sad. Many of us have been working day and ...night, day and night, to make this the best trip ever for the Lord and His work. But more and more red flags came up and it looked like it wasn't going to work for about 40 people that were headed that way. We claimed Romans 8:28 and now look forward to the next trip. Please read the letter I wrote to the volunteers. As you see below there are 2 bc4h folks in Guatemala, Robin and Carol Miller. And there are three in Guatemala City who will be picked up by Robin and Carol. Please pray for for these five folks. They came down to Guatemala early. Blessings! Ron : Hola my friends, I just received the article as seen below. All flights are canceled going into Guatemala as of tomorrow. We would not have been allowed to leave this Wednesday according to this article. Pray for Robin and Carol Miller, Clark and Elizabeth Cowan, and Lourdes Manoz. They are bc4Humanity volunteers and in Colis now. They left early from America. Some of our folks heard on the news that no one is allowed to fly from Guatemala to America as well. It is hard to know when they will be able to return home. I will reimburse what you paid to Broken Chains for Humanity $100%. There is a $175 fee per ticket but we will cover that. Once again, if you want to help by giving a donation to help us with this fee it would be much appreciated. But wait, there is more: 1. The five volunteers plus some locals want to hold a mini clinic since the locals are disappointed that we did not come. Dr. Danny will arrange for medicine to be delivered to them. But medicine cost money. Would you like to donate to keep the medical work keep going in Colis in our absence? 2. The Miller's are giving Bible studies to a very poor 14 year old boy. Unfortunately his eyes continually switch back and forth and it is difficult to read the Bible. Robin said that this is a condition called strabismus. He needs to be taken to an eye specialist in Guatemala City to see if he is a candidate for eye surgery. If he can have surgery we will need donors that look just like you to help with his expenses. Scroll down to see the new Guatemalan law about travel to and from Guatemala. May God bless you and keep you courageous during this pandemic. Ron Guatemala bans flights from US, Canada to contain coronavirus spread Guatemala will ban flights from the US and Canada in an effort to contain the coronavirus outbreak, after the first COVID-19 case was confirmed there Friday. The moratorium will begin Monday, President Alejandro Giammattei announced Friday in a televised speech, along with other travel restrictions, including a cruise ship ban. Any travelers who arrive from North America before then will be subject to quarantining, he said. Giammattei also announced the country’s first coronavirus case, which was confirmed earlier in the day, as a man who came from Madrid through Colombia. In addition to the cruise and flight ban, Giammattei has requested that the Mexican government stop deportations back to Guatemala. The country has already banned flights from Europe, China, South Korea and North Korea. With Post wires So thankful to be home instead of Guatemala. We also heard plane flights out of Guatemala are banned also. 5 who were originally on our team went anyway. Hopefully they'll be able to get out. K&E
