Congratulations Elisabeth Lord and Goushia Farook on being installed at the first ever virtual installation of RCBA and Barristers boards! The Riverside County Bar Association Installation of Ceremony certainly was a success and we consider our office fortunate that we were able to participate virtually and not too far from the celebration. We wish the very best to the RCBA and Barristers 2020-2021 Boards!

We would like to congratulate Goushia Farook on being elected President of the Riverside County Bar Association Barristers Board for 2020-2021! Goushia has previously served on the Barristers Board as President-Elect and Member-At-Large. The qualities that make Goushia an excellent family law attorney will no doubt be an incredible boost to our local Bar Association, its members and our community. Goushia joined Bratton Razo & Lord as an associate attorney in March 2020. Goushia is a member of the prestigious Leo A. Deegan Inn of Court, a professional organization comprised of attorneys and judicial officers organized under the American Inns of Court. Goushia is also a member in the Asian Pacific American Lawyers of the Inland Empire (APALIE) and the Inland Counties Legal Services (ICLS). Congratulations, Goushia!

We would like to congratulate Elisabeth Lord on being elected to the Board of Directors of the Riverside County Bar Association for 2020-2021! Elisabeth previously served our local legal community as the President and Vice-President of the San Jacinto Bar Association (now the Southwest Riverside County Bar Association). Elisabeth will be an incredible asset to the Riverside County Bar Association, working with fellow bar association members to improve our community. Court Updates for Riverside and San Bernardino: Riverside Family Court: The Corona, Moreno Valley, Temecula, Hemet Courts and Riverside Self-Help Center will remain closed from June 1 to June 12, 2020. Beginning June 8, 2020, the Riverside Family Court will be open to the public for the LIMITED purpose of filing emergency matters, including retraining order applications. Hearings scheduled for June will be heard telephonically only. Child custody mediation appointments will... be held via Webex video services. San Bernardino Family Court: Beginning June 8, the court will be open for full services. Telephonic appearances are recommended. For both courts: If you appear at court, you must follow posted instructions to maintain social distancing. You must wear a facemask.
