Diana, Princess of Wales died in Paris on this day in 1997. I heard about the crash from a taxi driver while on my way home from a night out and then woke up to... the news of her death the following morning. It was so awful and surreal and I'll never forget how deathly silent the London underground was the next day as I made my way home. We were all in shock and in some ways, the shock still lingers. (Photos, as always, are from Testino's beautiful final photo shoot.)
