Remembering Brent Brewer Brent grew up in and around the San Diego construction scene. From a young age, Brent learned the intricacies of the mobile crane market working for his father's company, Cabrillo Crane & Hoist. After decades working in the crane industry at various crane companies and amassing a masterful knowledge of all-things-cranes, Brent and his then-partner Rolynda decided to "give it a go" and they founded Brewer Crane & Rigging in 1997 on Rolynda's parents' k...itchen table. Now, 23 years later, the company is a testament to the American dream and the concept of hard work. Brent was like a light bulb, insofar as he was full of bright ideas and could light up a room with his gregarious personality. His first most cherished accomplishment was Brewer Crane. His second most cherished accomplishment was his collection of friends - which included so many of you. Brent will never be forgotten, and we will proudly carry his legacy onward and honor his memory, every day, here at his namesake company. Due to COVID-19 related restrictions, Brent's near-term memorial service will be open to his immediate family members only. Brewer Crane intends to host a larger, more public celebration of Brent's life at a later time when such gatherings are permitted. It is with a heavy heart and tearful eyes that we announce the passing of one of our founders this past weekend. Brent Brewer was a Friend and Mentor to many in the construction industry and he will be missed terribly by all. Details about his memorial service will be posted at a later time.
