Myth: Wearing glasses or contacts makes your vision worsen. Or makes your eyes rely on glasses. Truth: Your eyes need correction, and your eyes have an adjusting period when you go without wearing glasses for a while or when you take them off of course, your vision is blurry. You can cause your eye muscles strain if you try to go without wearing glasses because of this myth. Vision is typically genetic, and changes slowly over time. Drastic changes in vision can be caused by hormonal changes as you are growing, during pregnancy, health problems that cause your vision to worsen, and aging.
