Noel is one of the most driven Loan Officers we've had the pleasure of working with, and his dedication shows through his successful business. Read on for more tips and tricks from Noel- _____________________________________________... Q: How long have you been in the mortgage industry? What brought you to become a loan officer? A: Total years in the business is 8.5 years. I was a bartender/waiter with an IT degree from Cal Poly and was approached by a broker friend that said he loved the business and I should consider it. I had to look up the word mortgage because I did not even know what it meant...... Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? A: Helping clients through the biggest investment of their lives and being supportive. Q: How have your experiences shaped how you approach your business? A: I have learned most of my lessons the hard way. Trial and error. I am willing to try anything and know that I can only be successful through hard work and perseverance. Q: How do you spark new business opportunities when the market is dry/challenging? A: I make more calls. :) I track prospecting time and work 7 days a week. Q: What are some of your business practices that allow you to stand out in this competitive market? A: I am very systematic in my business and do not deviate from my systems. (prospecting systems) Q: Aside from your business, what are you passionate about? A: Personal growth, staying in shape and the outdoors. Q: How has your team helped you become successful? A: Having a team has allowed me to focus on activities that generate business. Q: If you could give one piece of advice to yourself when you were in your first month in the industry, what would it be? A: Build a strong database and work it everyday. Every client is actually 4 potential transactions. Get a coach early. Q: Any other tips or motivation you’d like to pass along? A: Hard work, coaching and accountability. Track and know your numbers.
