We donated 80 new (remaining book stock) and gently used (story time books) and lots of LOVE this holiday season to help create mini libraries for homeless children homeschooling at Hyland Motels here in LA. Thank you Crayon Collection for sharing these families story and helping to facilitate our donation "In LA Unified School District, there are an estimated 11,000 students who are experiencing homelessness [LA Times]. Through her newly introduced program "Kid's First", City Councilmember Nury Martinez is looking to close the learning gaps accentuated by the pandemic."
