To our annual pass holders: the front gate has been fixed and can now be used with your passcode!
Today was a special day at Bogart. The weather felt like fall as we finally got to celebrate the dedication of Bogart Regional Park. Speakers at today’s ribbon cutting event unveiling the entry monument recalled it was about five years ago that discussions between Riverside County, the Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District and our Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District began. Those who spoke included Chairman Dan Hughes of the BCVRPD board of directors, Presiden...t John Covington of BCV Water District board of directors, Riverside 5th District Supervisor Jeff Hewitt, General Manager Dan Jaggers of the BCV Water District, board member Andy Ramirez of the BCV Water District, and General Manager Duane Burk of BCVRPD. Speakers recalled how important and unique the cooperation and collaboration between the three agencies had to be for the park transition to move forward. A common thread among all speakers was how special the park is to their families. Each of them actually spend time in the park, have planned or attended special events in the park and know the value it offers local families and visitors from anywhere. Mickey Valdivia, former GM of BCVRPD and current member of the BCVRPD Foundation board, recalled how the original intent of Bogart Park almost a century ago was to bring people together in peace and harmony, and here it is decades later, still a jewel. BCVRPD General Manager Duane Burk told of how he caught his first fish in the Bogart Fishing Pond when he was just a boy. He reiterated how proud he is of his staff who have worked hard to bring the park where it is today. We hope you’ll visit and enjoy Bogart Regional Park for yourself some time soon! See more
To our ANNUAL PASSHOLDERS: We are currently experiencing a keypad issue at the front gate which is affecting annual passholders only. The keypad is not able to take your personalized passcode so we ask that if you had to pay to enter, let us know and we can issue a refund. The gate is working fine for non passholders, anyone paying as usual to enter for day use. We are working on it and will increase staff at the gate. Thanks for your understanding! (Wondering about an annual pass? The cost is $100 for a year of access to Bogart Regional Park instead of the $10/day fee. The pass includes all people in your vehicle entering park and your dogs. It’s a great deal for anyone who thinks they may visit Bogart 10+ times a year.)
Here at Bogart, we call this walking weather. Come take a stroll through this beautiful park!
