After 6 months of closure we feel like bursting with celebration; however, this isn't over yet. Be safe and considerate out there to prevent future shutdowns.... Appointments are required for all in person services as well as jewelry sales, but we made it easy. All purchases are contactless. We have new digital release forms that can be filled out and submitted on your phone. Friday August 28th, Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled a blueprint for re opening the state. California has now done away with the 'county watch list' and has moved to a new colorful tier. The tiers are all based on how prevalent COVID-19 is in each county and the extent of community spread. You can quickly look up your county and add a business type to see if it can be open here: https://covid19.ca.gov/ We realize that when you enter the information for 'San Francisco' and 'Tat...too' or 'Piercing', you will see that the state has San Francisco in the Substantial Tier and that those businesses can open indoors with modification. Mayor London Breed is still under the impression we are under the old watch list system and our Health Director disagrees with the state's analysis. They still have our business closed. I understand the argument of getting through this outbreak safely and maybe San Francisco feels it should follow the worst in numbers of the neighboring counties, but our Mayor and our Health Director continue to pass the hot potato onto each other stating who is deciding we close. Both of them have independently stated they have been fighting for us to re open and that it is the other person who is stubbornly holding it closed..... So for now, we remain open for retail jewelry sales only. We can not provide any of our services until both our Health Director and our Mayor agree to allow us to fully re open. (It sounds like maybe they also have to be in the same room at the time when they reach this agreement). We hear you! Daily we are told we should be open!
