We just received this: Dear customer service, I just wanted to let you know that your CA glue is popular with the 3D printing enthusiast. I had never heard of your company or products until I started 3D printing. Sometimes it is easier to print a larger project in two or more parts. I learned that your CA glue is the highest recommended product for joining those parts back together. Especially when the parts are made using PLA plastic. ... I purchased both the CA glue and the quick set bottles. I can say that your glue has worked marvelous. I love how fast the glue sets once I spray the parts with the quick set. I designed a simple holder to keep these two glues together as a set. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4604158 I also made a similar holder for your epoxy bottles. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4606343 Both models have been popular. Both designs are getting downloaded every day. Thanks for the great product. Regards, Frank Fox https://latestnews.bsi-inc.com//ca-glue-used-for-3d-printi

In late January, BSI’s office manager Jennifer (who is really much more than that) was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and was not given much reason for hope by doctors. She immediately started treatments at Stanford University Medical Center while Holly and Amber stepped in to learn and execute her daily duties that have kept BSI growing at a record pace. Today was Jennifer’s last chemo treatment and she has been declared completely cancer free by her doctors! We consider this a miracle made possible by the many prayers from family, friends and industry associates. We are all looking forward to her return to work on August 24, when, once again, she will be the cheerful voice that you hear when you call BSI.

RC Groups is the best forum for radio control models. Over the past 24 hours, two members with thousands of post (DGrant & Balsaworkbench) made these comments: One of the better hobby/industrial quality CA glues, as well as epoxy systems, and other adhesives, comes from a company called Bob Smith Industries. It's actually sold by many hobby shops across the country, with the shops name/label, and if you look on the back of the bottles it will say "BSI Industries". They proba...bly make serious industrial adhesives as well. CA's (the street/slang name for our hobby quality super glue) and epoxies are not all created equally. Stay away from "superglues" from home improvement or variety stores. They just don't cut it for hobby use... but this Bob Smith Industries material is very robust and excellent quality consistently... and squarely geared for our hobby use. It's a resource for you to look at, and if you get around to a hobby shop that has CA(superglue), look at the back of that label. If it's BSI it's good stuff. Give it a try in your trials and see if it's what you're looking for. I can't think of any better brand of glues. I'll use it as long as they make it. ------------- I bought a bottle of CA at Lowes. I don't remember the brand name, but it was in a big 4 ounce bottle for under ten bucks. What a deal. But it was nothing like the CA from Bob Smith. BSI glue is extremely good. The stuff from Lowes was extremely bad. I'm not just saying that the Lowes glue is unsuitable in certain applications so you should use it only when appropriate. I'm saying I didn't trust it to hold the plane together, so it would never be appropriate. It was terrible. I used it a couple of times then switched back to my regular adhesives and threw the rest of it away. I've built entire planes with Bob Smith CA for years. My general rule is that for planes smaller than 20 size I'll use it exclusively, even on firewalls, landing gear blocks, and wing bolt blocks. It's stronger than the wood it's bonding, so there's no reason to look for a stronger glue on these small planes. No cracking, no breaking, etc. Brittleness may become a factor in a very large plane with lots of area for vibrations to develop, but I've never had a brittleness problem on 049 to 90 size planes. It's really good stuff.
