Thomas Anthony Lucas 10/13/1953 - 12/17/2020 It is with tremendous sorrow that we inform you that our Dive Buddy Tom Lucas passed away last week (Thursday evening) December 17, 2020. His family was with him as he passed to his "better place".... Tom was everyone's favorite and to say we miss him is a great understatement. Tom was a very special guy, a great diver and a better friend. Tom was originally certified at BDS in the mid 1970's and re-certified in 2007. Since 2007 Tom was a fixture on all of the "BDS Sub Club" dive excursions. He logged over 700 dives with the Sub Club and specialized in hunting for scallops to bring home to Cindy and the family. Today the Bob's Dive Shop dive flag fly's at half mast....it may stay that way! Rest in Peace Good Friend.

WHY WE DIVE! The Bob's Dive Shop "Sub Club" Travels to The Sea of Cortez aboard the Nautilus UnderSea Hunter... November 5-9, 2020. Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez "the aquarium of the world". Expect to see a lot of fish. A LOT of fish! Whale sharks in season. California sea lions. Giant manta rays ....the Adventure Continues!

WHY WE DIVE It has been one year since The BDS SUB CLUB boarded this boat and it is sorely missed by us all. Just say the word Glenn and we’ll be there! Missing our dive buddies!

We are ready to fully re-open our diver training pool as soon as we are given the okay by the state. We have submitted our overview of proposed public swimming pool operation and we hope to receive a "go ahead" very soon. We have implemented new guidelines for the training pool and the showroom to keep us all as safe we possible. We will have more information soon, stay tuned in.... Currently, our hours are: 11-4:00 pm Tuesday - Friday and by appointment. We can not wait to see you and get back to introducing you to the underwater world of scuba!

We're BACK! Bob's Dive Shop is planning to open with altered store hours starting Tuesday, June 2, 2020. The TEMPORARY (until given ok to re-open the pool) store hours will be from 11am - 4pm, Tuesday through Friday. ... We are glad to also work by appointment - just give us a call - (559) 225-3483. Unfortunately, we are still unable to open the pool for dive training. However, we are taking reservations for upcoming classes so get your name on the list. Dear BDS "Sub Club" and Friends, The spread of COVID-19 has changed life for all of us right now. We are thinking of you all and understand that these are uncertain times and that life is chaotic for everyone.... Our mission at BDS is to help you continue to enjoy scuba and to explore the Oceans with you. Hopefully we will get back to doing that very soon. If there is anything you want or need from us during this time please don't hesitate to get in touch. It’s amazing how fast you reached 200 dives Rusty, congratulations. Most never get anywhere near this number of dives. Proud to say we have been on many of them with you. Looking forward are to the next trip. A great accomplishment. #bobsdiveshop
