When the most expensive healthcare in the world fails... ya, read that again, THE MOST EXPENSIVE. And yet...

Since my jobs and the bay shut down I've been tapping into my other talent - making/creating - to help frontline workers lacking proper PPE. Here's a pic sent to me from a local nurse on duty with the face shield I created over her sewn mask. I received a message today that my shields are inspiring people as far as NY to start creating their own versions for the frontline. It's unfortunate what's going on, but amazing to watch ingenuity become as infectious as the disease... we're fighting. But I need your help! If anyone has access to, or knows someone who might have access to, marine grade vinyl 20/40 gauge, please reach out! So let's take a moment for spiritual perspective and growth. This illness we are experiencing is a message from the universe to open our hearts, to love, and to care. Imbalance in the heart chakra manifests in respiratory and lung illness. Read that again. Imbalance in the heart chakra manifests in respiratory and lung illness. For so long we have ignored the value of lives we aren't familiar with. We've ravaged resources, hoarded resources, and claimed there's not enough res...ources to share and care. It's no joke that this illness is attacking the lung and respiratory, because we've let our hearts become weak and selfish. We aren't even loving ourselves. This illness is LITERALLY telling us to consider all lives valuable, including the weak and vulnerable you may be putting at risk. Yet still, some carry on. And the universe won't stop until as a collective we learn this valuable lesson. So, take a moment today away from your normal, meaningless posts and behaviors and open your heart and cause to spreading love in whatever way moves you. Find your cause today. If you find yourself paralyzed with fear, put your focus on the healing, not the sickness. Focus on the fact that the world is healing itself, and today you can choose to be a part of that healing, or a detriment to it. See more

At Board it Forward, we believe the cure for crisis is love and compassion. Two days ago my day jobs were indefinitely shut down without pay. For many of us, this pandemic will cause huge ramifications and uncertain futures. It got me thinking, "these are stressful times, what can I do to help?" I started Board it Forward to help people in these situations by providing mental, meditational escape on the water. What better time than now? So, during this trying time, while I've... got lotsa free time and lotsa stress on my mind, I want to extend my hand and heart to those experiencing the same. If this pandemic has effected your life and mental state, dm me your situation. I will be conducting free of charge lessons and tours (as weather permits) to Board our community Forward. A lot of us need a break right now, and with enough love spread, life will continue!
