Palo Verde Valley Times 21.01.2021

The Blythe Police Department (BPD) is seeking the public's assistance for information related to an incident on Jan. 14; released information below: "On Thursday, (Jan. 14, 2021), at about 4:56 p.m., officers from the Blythe Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of North 4th Street, regarding a robbery. Officers learned that the victim, a juvenile, was approached by two older juveniles. One of the two suspect juveniles took the victim’s cellular phone while the ...other suspect juvenile pointed a possible toy gun at the victim. The suspect juveniles fled the area on scooters. One of the scooters was pink and the other one was black. The two suspect juveniles were last seen southbound on Broadway from Chaparral Dr. Later in the evening, two scooters matching the description of the ones the suspect juveniles used to flee the area were located at the intersection of Commercial Street and Murphy Street. One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic male juvenile, 15 to 17 years of age, about 5’-05 tall, slim build, wearing a blackhooded sweatshirt with the hood, wearing a black, COVID-19 type face-covering over his chin and nose. The second suspect was described as a White male juvenile, between 15 to 17 years of age, freckled face with blue eyes, about 5-05 tall, slim build, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood, blue shorts, black high-topshoes and wearing a black COVID-19 type face-covering over hischin and nose. The Blythe Police Department is urging anyone who may have any information regarding this crime or any other crime to call the Blythe Police Department at (760) 922-6111. You may remain anonymous."

UPDATE (Jan. 15/1:15 p.m.): For all pertinent and up to date COVID vaccine information on who is currently eligible (Phase 1A all tiers, Phase 1B Tier 1, and those aged 65 years and older) in Riverside County, as well as upcoming vaccination clinic locations/dates/registration information, visit: ruhealth.org/Covid-19-vaccine... "There will be more than 11,000 additional appointments available across all RUHS-Public Health clinics from Jan. 19 Jan. 22. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis within the current tiers. More appointments will be available as additional vaccine is received," stated Riverside University Health System Public Health (RUHS-PH) on Jan. 15. "The clinics will provide vaccines free of charge, however those who show up must register prior to arrival, have an appointment, and show proof of eligibility (badge, business identification, letter of proof from employer). Medical insurance information will be requested. Those 65 and older must have proof of age, such as a driver’s license. Seniors who need help registering can call 2-1-1. To see the description of the various tiers and to sign up for an appointment, visit www.ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine. There are more than 175 COVID-19 vaccine providers in Riverside County. Residents should also check with their primary care physician, urgent care and pharmacy to see if they have vaccine available." Hello PVUSD community, The Nutrition Services Department would like to provide updated information regarding the bulk meals being distributed tomorrow, Wednesd...ay, November 4th. Additional schools have been added for curbside pickup. Ruth Brown, Margaret White and Felix J. Appleby are available school sites to pick up bulk meals on Wednesdays from 12:00 3:00 pm. Our school busses will deliver bulk meals to designated bus stops from 12:00 -3:00 pm. Please check the district website for bus stop times. Meal counts have been increased to better meet the demand. Please remember that your child must be present or you must show a student lunch card when picking up your bulk meal. We appreciate your support and patience.
