You cant use the elevator, no option for an exterior chute and you have to load out 15 debris boxes in two days. How do you solve this problem? You ask other members of the team to put their experience together and come up with a plan and this was our answer. I also love having real carpenters on my team. We can do so much more and get very creative.
Forman training and only 4 didn't show up. 2 are out of town, 2 were MIA but will be getting a note in their file. We have been doing some safe and great work and this is one of the reasons why.
This is why they call these concrete buildings - tilt ups. This is behind our yard where they are building a 400,000 S.F. whs. building.
Another decent pour in the yard this weekend. Almost done. Maybe three pours to go but they are getting smaller.
Here are a few pictures of todays work. This is 5 jobs of about 25 we have going. 1st two are of a metal and wood building we took apart to save the metal posts and roof for our use. Took it apart by hand and still made a buck not to mention the steel will save us about 20k. Pic 3 and 4 of concrete cutting and trenching on a large on going job. Pic 5 is a hotel job that shows our dust control. 6 and 7 is another good example of dust control while working in an active store. Last picture is street view but does not show the swing stage. Half way done on this one and going well.
Couple of on going jobs. #1 is removal of exterior coating in Oakland. #2 is an interior gut of a Macys, 3rd is a concrete demo in a basement in Oakland and 4th is a stair demo in a hotel in S.F. Very busy.
One day I will be finished all my projects. Got my hose reels installed and water around the entire yard, pouring more concrete - this area for our service trucks, recycle yard with new concrete, fence and wall, our new welder working away. Keeping the ball rolling.
This is the video that goes with the quote below. Roof solar panels!
When i said new building going up, i meant A new building, not Our new building. But i am standing on our old building with our new solar installation. Go sun power!
Bluewater also does shrink wrap projects. One of these jobs was at Alcatraz that weathered 50 plus mph winds last winter. It takes knowledge and skill to do these jobs and we feel we have one of the best trained crews in the Bay Area.
Few more projects in the yard. 1. Still getting sections ready for concrete. 2. Fence on top of our push wall in the recycling area. 3. Having 4 acres, we need chickens. Coop almost done. 4. back side of fence, this is where the coop is and I am going to put in some planter boxes and fruit trees and maybe a sitting area. 5. Nice to see the drivers are keeping the trucks clean.
Here is a nice three month job just getting started. We are removing the exterior coating from this building. Work safe and work smart and should be finished sooner. Doing a great job so far.
Great job Plata. This is the way you return equipment to the whs. Whats green is ready to go to another job or put on the shelf, red goes to the small tool repair area for repair.
