Here are the six great bands that are performing October 2nd 12-6:30 pm at Harvest Home: A Festival of Traditional Americana Music at the River Center, Old Friant Road: Red Dog Ash, Los Peripherals, Lark, The Sharecroppers, The Arkansas Sheiks and Glen Delpit and the Subterraneans. Do you have your tickets yet? $25 general or $20 CBA members.

Bluegrass in the Park 2021: Stan Allen (Our CBA Regional VP and guy with the REALLY LOUD shirts and BIG hat) reports that he is working with the Veteran's Memorial District for a 2021 concert season. The District will issue their guidelines April 30th. Everything depends upon getting our County's virus and hospitalization numbers down so do your part buckaroos, get vaccinated and wear a mask! If all goes well Stan will line up bands for summer concerts and we can get back together again. (Say, that sounds like a Buck Owens song!)

The Gilly Girls are fundraising for victims of the Creek Fire. You can purchase one of these t-shirts or a sticker, "Mountain Strong" from their website. All proceeds will go to neighbors and families devastated by the fire. https://gillygirls.us/store/

With regrets, The CBA has cancelled the 2021 Great 48 Jam held each year in Bakersfield. Keep practicing and picking and we shall see one another in 2022!

2020 CONCERT SERIES CANCELLED. After consulting with musicians and the Veterans District and the California Bluegrass Association the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Bluegrass in the Park season. With the uncertainty of what we may face, I feel it is in the best interest of the many loyal fans that come out each year, and the dedicated musicians that participate to make this a great venue, all performances scheduled for the summer of 2020 Bluegrass in the Park hav...e been cancelled. Hopefully we can get back to our normal routine soon and have a great season next year. The California Bluegrass Association is putting together some virtual concerts that will be free leading up to Fathers Day. The performers will be chosen from the Fathers Day line-up for the CBA Grass Valley Fathers Day Festival 2020. There will even be a silent auction. Buckaroos! The 17 week concert series, Bluegrass in the Park, is slated to begin May 22nd with your bluegrass/country and gospel favorites. We will post the full schedule in a month or so once we all have a better understanding of any restrictions due to COVID-19.
