I think it’s amazing that God has created every fruit and vegetable to start out as a beautiful BLOOM on each plant. The flowers attract the all important pollinators - butterflies, bees, hummingbirds - and from the bloom grows something yummy. Here are some of our cucumber blooms becoming cucumbers. I adore the process of growing food! . . .... . . #bloomingtrailsfarm #bloomingtrailsblooms #growingfood #vegetablegardening #gardentherapy #cucumber #gerken #organicallygrown See more

Look how the peafowl are transforming. One month old now and starting to look like the real deal. They won’t start to show color - which would mean they are male - until three to six months plus. Peahen or Peacock? What do you think they are? #bloomingtrailsfarm #raisingpeafowl #peacock #peahen #timewilltell #farmlife #iloveourpeachicks

So now we are hand raising these two little Peafowl. Why? Because it brings me joy. They are doing well. They are now three weeks old and here are some pictures to show their growth over the last three weeks. They are still in their brooder - which is located in our game room, so they get plenty of attention - which they love! They will be in there for several more weeks.

37 hours later, after watching every YouTube video on the subject, we knew we needed to help them. I gently broke them out of their shells and David lent a lot of moral support. If you remember, we had lost our first batch of peacocks and I was so sad and scared that was going to happen again with this one.

Hi! I’m Walker and I’m having to share my mom’s lap with a baby peacock. I’m not loving this, but have to admit that Elvis the Peacock sure is cute! #walkerthecavalier #elvisthepeacock #bloomingtrailsfarm
