Equine Spa The equine spa has many benefits and it has been proven to be effective on horses with various injuries! The spa has been an integral part of our rehabilitation program. When we get horses that have been recently injured they are the perfect candidate to use the spa to keep the swelling down as much as possible while they are healing.... It has also been effective on horses that happen to have some thrush issues unrelated to their injury. I saw some of them completely go away as soon as one treatment in the spa. Mini GrassPasture These mini grass pastures have been a great way to reintroduce the horses to some turn out time. They are big enough that they have walking space, but small enough that the urge to play is at bay. It’s also hard to focus on playing when you have a buffet of delicious grass right in front of you... We can always go to them for a hand graze if they are not quite ready to be out on their own. Meet the staff Audrey Hayden Assistant Barn Manager Audrey grew up horse showing in the hunters in the Midwest as a junior rider, and was a member of her university’s equestrian team while attending college in North Carolina. She has worked both here in the USA and abroad in Australia and New Zealand with show horses in nearly every discipline for the past decade, from show jumpers to combined carriage driving horses (and lots of other strange farm animals!). Currently ...finishing up a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy, she plans to use her experience with horses in her future practice.
